Since her childhood, award-winning sculptor Jannie de Lange has had a passion for dolls. She was so fascinated when visiting a doll show and seeing some of the hand-sculpted dolls made with clay that she immediately enrolled in a sculpting class.
Jannie has sculpted her own one of a kind dolls since 1994 and quickly developed her own style. Her dolls soon became popular worldwide. She loves to experiment with all different kinds of clay and various expressions.
Jannie lives in a small village in the eastern part of the Netherlands, where she was born in 1951. She has three daughters and five grandchildren, who are a source of her inspiration. |
