RKS-that’s us: Ruth Kunz and Katja Schneider. About 12 years ago we separately discovered our enthusiasm for making dolls and since 1996 we have been working as a team.
After having made hand sculpted porcelain children and -babies from all over the world for some years we carried out our first attempts at working with Cernit and Modelene about 5 years ago, as we were keen on sculpting one-of-a-kinds, too. After a hard practice time of 2 years with little success, we finally succeeded in sculpting the first sweet "bundles-of-joy". Up to now babies and toddlers of all nationalities and skin colors are our favorite models.
In November 2002 Sonja Hartmann of the company " with Heart and Soul" in Berlin took notice of our dolls during an exhibition and that was the beginning of a fruitful cooperation. Now our original dolls are reproduced in different materials and sold by her company and by the TV-stations HSN in the USA and HSE24 in Germany as limited editions.
